What this workshop is about?

Personalization entails tailoring a product or service to specific individuals or segments. Organizations leverage it across advertising, marketing, branding, and digital sales to boost customer satisfaction and website metrics. Today, data-driven approaches increasingly fuel these tasks, a trend accelerated by generative and conversational AI. Concurrently, a nudge is "any aspect of the choice architecture that alters people’s behavior in a predictable way without forbidding any options or significantly changing their economic incentives” (Thaler & Sunstein).

On the one hand, AI is increasingly driving personalization; on the other hand, there is a growing trend toward personalizing AI itself—that is, tailoring the AI model’s behavior, knowledge, interaction style, values, and even its 'personality' to each individual user. We aim to build a community and platform for researchers (academia, government, and domain sciences) and practitioners developing AI/ML/DS technologies that influence human behavior through personalization-driven and nudge-informed approaches.
